VCS is the acronym widely used to refer to the “Verified Carbon Standard“.
The Verified Carbon Standard is an international standard and program for approval of voluntary offsets. The founding partners of the VCS are “The Climate Group”, the “International Emissions Trading Association” (IETA) and the “World Business Council for Sustainable Development”.
